The Opportunity
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in our Finance and Accounting team. You'll take ownership of core accounting activities, partner closely with cross-functional teams, and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting. What You'll Do
- Manage day-to-day general ledger (GL) operations, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately, on time, and in compliance with Indian GAAP, US GAAP, and local standards.
- Own the month-end and year-end close processes to meet strict reporting deadlines.
- Prepare detailed monthly reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts including cash, payables/receivables, intercompany, fixed assets, accrued liabilities, and prepaid expenses.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies by collaborating with cross-functional teams and posting required adjustments.
- Maintain strong data accuracy, completeness, and internal controls across all GL activities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow statements.
- Develop and maintain clean, audit-ready documentation for all reconciliations and GL schedules.
- Recommend and implement process improvements and automation to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
- A high degree of integrity and a results-driven mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
