At Nerige Story we work closely with India's artisans digging deep into India's artisanal heritage with a goal to reimagine and present traditional clothing in a way that is completely refreshing and unique. We are a rapidly growing D2C business and we are looking for a SEO specialist to significantly grow our organic reach and conversions. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a company that is on a rapid growth trajectory. This role will be an integral part of our digital team. The role will report directly to the co-founders.
Responsibilities
- Full SEO Audit: Analyse current site health, technical issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Keyword Research: Identify and target high-potential, relevant keywords for our core products (Sarees, Blouses, petticoats, Kurtis, men's wear, etc.).
- On-Page Optimization: Optimize existing product and collection pages, create and implement meta tags, structured data, internal linking, and image SEO.
- New Product SEO: Ensure all upcoming products and collections are optimized at launch. - Technical SEO: Fix site errors (crawlability, indexing, speed, mobile-friendliness, structured data), and regularly monitor Google Search Console.
- Content Strategy: Develop SEO-focused content ideas, collaborate on blog topics.
- Backlink Building: Plan and execute high-quality, relevant link-building strategies to grow our domain authority.
- Performance Reporting: Provide regular updates on rankings, organic traffic, and actionable insights.
- Competitor Analysis: Track and benchmark against top competitors in the fashion e-commerce space.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-3 years of SEO experience, with a proven track record in fashion e-commerce or related industry.
- Deep understanding of end-to-end SEO (on-page, off-page, and technical). - Strong experience with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and leading SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, etc.).
- Hands-on experience optimizing Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms.
- Demonstrated results in increasing organic traffic and keyword rankings for fashion / lifestyle/ D2C brands.
- Knowledge of Indian fashion market and user behaviour is a plus.
- Excellent communication, project management, and reporting skills.
