Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced SDN Technology Test Engineer with strong expertise in Software Defined Networking (SDN) architecture and testing methodologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SDN controllers, networking protocols, and automation tools in virtualized and containerized environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform functional and performance testing of SDN solutions across control, data, and application planes.
- Validate SDN controllers such as OpenDaylight, ONOS, Cisco ACI, VMware NSX, and Juniper Contrail.
- Design and execute test cases for networking protocols including TCP/IP, VLAN, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, GRE, VXLAN, OpenFlow, and NETCONF/YANG.
- Work with Linux networking and virtual environments (VMware/KVM) for test setups.
- Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, and Ansible.
- Test containerized SDN applications in Docker and Kubernetes environments.
- Utilize network emulation/simulation tools such as Mininet, GNS3, and EVE-NG for test scenarios.
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman and REST Assured.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of SDN architecture (control plane, data plane, application plane).
- Hands-on experience with SDN controllers (OpenDaylight, ONOS, Cisco ACI, VMware NSX, Juniper Contrail).
- Proficiency in networking protocols: TCP/IP, VLAN, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, GRE, VXLAN, OpenFlow, NETCONF/YANG.
- Experience with Linux networking and virtualization (VMware/KVM).
- Scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, and Ansible.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.
- Exposure to network simulation tools (Mininet, GNS3, EVE-NG).
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of SDN testing frameworks and methodologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in agile and fast-paced environments.
