Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on SAP UI5 / Fiori / CAPM Solution Architect to lead solution design, frontend architecture, and technical delivery for SAP-centric applications. The candidate must have strong expertise in SAP UI technologies, BTP development models, and modern full-stack development using CAPM.
This position involves Solution & Delivery Ownership (75%) and Practice Development & Presales (25%), including collaboration with customers, cross-functional teams, and technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Solutioning & Delivery Ownership (75%)
- Architect and deliver end-to-end SAP UI5/Fiori applications and CAPM-based solutions on SAP BTP.
- Lead requirement analysis, design workshops, technical blueprinting, and solution validation.
- Provide hands-on development using SAPUI5, Fiori Elements, CAPM, OData services, and Node.js/Java.
- Build extensible and scalable architectures aligned with SAP's clean-core, cloud-first principles.
- Collaborate with backend teams (ABAP/BTP) for service integration, RICEFW alignment, and data modelling.
- Ensure UI/UX quality, performance optimization, and adherence to SAP Fiori design guidelines.
- Lead code reviews, solution validation, UAT, defect resolution, and deployment activities.
2. Practice Development & Presales (25%)
- Develop reusable frameworks, templates, accelerators, and best practices for UI/BTP projects.
- Support RFP/RFI responses, solution demonstrations, and technical presentations for new business.
- Define architecture proposals, estimation models, and delivery approaches for customer engagements.
- Mentor team members and contribute to capability building in UI5, Fiori, CAPM, and BTP.
Technical Expertise Required
SAP UI5 / Fiori
- SAPUI5 custom development (XML/JS/HTML5/CSS3)
- Fiori Elements, Smart Controls, Annotations
- Launchpad configuration (On-Premise & BTP)
- Deep understanding of SAP Fiori UX guidelines
- Performance tuning and modular design
CAPM (Cloud Application Programming Model)
- CAPM-based application development using Node.js or Java
- CDS modeling, service layer development, authentication/authorization
- Integration with SAP HANA Cloud, HDI containers
- Multi-tenant, event-driven, and microservices architecture (advantage)
Integration & Backend
- OData V2/V4 service consumption & development
- Integration with ABAP, S/4HANA, and SAP BTP services
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools
- Understanding of SAP BTP services (Workflow, Launchpad, Destination, XSUAA, Jobs)
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SAP RAP (ABAP RESTful Programming Model) is a plus
- Knowledge of BTP SDKs, SAP Build Apps, SAP Work Zone
- Understanding of clean-core extensibility and side-by-side extensions
- Multi-module technical leadership experience
- Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery

Education
