Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced
SAP MDG Technical Consultant with strong expertise in
SAP MDG and ABAP. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of
MDG implementation, customization, and integration with SAP ECC, along with experience in incident/change management. This is a client-facing role requiring strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to act as a
Technical SME for SAP MDG solutions.
Relevant Experience
- 10+ years of experience, with minimum 5 years in SAP MDG as Technical Consultant.
- Strong background in SAP MDG implementation, incident, and change management.
- Hands-on experience in SAP MDG and ERP tools.
- Working knowledge of SAP SD/MM processes.
- Strong understanding of data integration (IDoc, XML, data flow elements).
SAP MDG Skills
- Expertise in Configuration/Customization of MDG BP/Customer/Vendor objects.
- Proficiency in MDG application framework and governance APIs.
- Strong hands-on experience in data modeling, process modeling, key mapping, duplicate checks, workflows, business rules/validations, auto-population, replication, and error handling.
SAP ECC Skills
- Exposure to SAP MM/SD modules with strong understanding of business processes.
- Knowledge of MDG-ECC data integration.
- Experience in inbound/outbound interfacing and error management.
- Strong knowledge of master data enrichment workflows.
- Ability to analyze failures/issues during master data creation and extension in ECC.
- Coordination with cross-domain teams to resolve data and process issues.
- Working knowledge of ABAP and Fiori coding.
General Experience & Prerequisites
- Excellent written and verbal communication, strong in client interactions and escalation management.
- Team player with collaborative mindset, proactive approach, and ability to work under pressure.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps models.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Serve as SAP MDG Technical SME in projects and DevOps squads.
- Oversee and support development, validate functionality, and support IST/UAT & user training.
- Assess and resolve incidents, providing technical solutions and root cause analysis.
- Work with functional teams to design, develop, and maintain SAP MDG/ECC solutions.
- Drive permanent fixes for repetitive incidents and enhance system stability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve domain-specific and cross-domain issues.
