Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced
SAP IBP Configurator Consultant with 10+ years of overall experience to work with our client. The consultant will be responsible for
data and process modeling within
SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP). This role involves configuring the necessary master and transactional data, defining key figures, and enabling algorithms for
demand planning,
inventory planning,
supply and response, and
Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP). A strong understanding of
supply chain planning, particularly with
SAP APO, is highly beneficial. The consultant will work closely with business teams to define requirements and implement the IBP solution aligned with business processes and needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure SAP IBP by defining master data, transactional data, and required attributes for demand planning, inventory planning, supply and response, and S&OP.
- Data modeling in SAP IBP, ensuring the accurate creation of planning areas and key figures required to run various planning algorithms.
- Work with business stakeholders to define planning requirements and align IBP functionalities to support business processes across supply chain planning.
- Implement IBP solutions in demand planning, supply planning, and inventory optimization to meet the client's business needs.
- Configure key figures, planning areas, and other relevant elements required for IBP.
- Ensure effective CPI (Cloud Platform Integration) integration for connecting IBP with external systems for data exchange.
- Provide guidance on best practices and configuration management for IBP solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business processes and the configured IBP solution.
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution during configuration and after deployment.
- Provide user training and documentation on SAP IBP features and functionality.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of overall experience with SAP IBP configuration and implementation.
- Strong experience in data modeling and defining master and transactional data for IBP.
- Excellent knowledge of key figure configuration and related configuration items in IBP.
- Hands-on experience with CPI (formerly HCI) for integrating IBP with external systems for data exchange (e.g., demand and supply planning integration).
- Good understanding of supply chain planning processes, with a strong background in SAP APO (Advanced Planning & Optimization).
- Proven ability to work with business teams to understand requirements and implement IBP solutions that support supply and demand planning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and how it integrates with SAP IBP.
- Familiarity with other SAP supply chain solutions such as SAP APO, SAP MM, or SAP SD.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
- SAP IBP Certification or relevant training is highly preferred.
