Key Responsibilities
1. Solution Design & Configuration
- Configure core SAP TM components including Freight Order Management, Freight Settlement, and Carrier Selection.
- Map master data frameworks including Business Partners, Transportation Lanes, Zones, and Resources.
- Define Charge Calculations, Rate Tables, and Freight Agreements for optimized cost management.
- Set up the Transportation Cockpit and define rules for the TM Optimizer to maximize route efficiency.
2. Cross-Module Integration
- Design seamless integration patterns between SAP TM and other modules like SD (Sales & Distribution), MM (Materials Management), and EWM (Extended Warehouse Management).
- Enable data streaming or interface exchanges with third-party logistics (3PL) systems, carriers, and scales using Web Services or IDocs.
- Orchestrate international trade logistics via integration with SAP GTS (Global Trade Services) and Dangerous Goods (DG) frameworks.
3. Implementation & Project Delivery
- Lead client fit-gap analysis workshops and gather functional requirements for custom developments.
- Author comprehensive Functional Specifications for interfaces, extensions, and custom reports.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams using ABAP, BOPF (Business Object Processing Framework), and FPM (Floorplan Manager) to deploy custom code.
- Manage data migration initiatives mapping legacy logistics information over to SAP S/4HANA structures.
4. Testing, Training & Support
- Execute unit testing, regression testing, integration testing, and guide business users through User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Formulate clear Cut-over Plans, manage go-live activities, and extend high-priority hypercare/SLA support post-deployment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 8 years of dedicated, hands-on functional experience working inside the SAP TM domain.
- Implementations: Proven track record of at least 2 end-to-end life-cycle implementations.
- Platform Expertise: Advanced knowledge of SAP S/4HANA (Embedded/Advanced TM) is mandatory.
- Methodology: Deep familiarity with the SAP Activate Methodology and Solution Manager.
- Technical Acumen: Ability to analyze ABAP code, utilize debugging techniques, and understand technical architectures.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
Preferred Certifications (Nice-to-Have)
- Having SAP Transportation Management Certification will be an added advantage
