Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Co-Project Manager to support a large-scale SAP version upgrade and cloud migration programme.
This position requires a strong SAP technical and functional understanding, alongside proven experience managing complex SAP S/4HANA transformation programmes within large enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-lead the end-to-end delivery of an SAP S/4HANA version upgrade and cloud migration programme.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, dependencies and delivery milestones.
- Coordinate activities across system conversion, enhancements, testing, data migration, cutover and go-live.
- Own the preparation and execution of the cutover strategy and detailed cutover plan.
- Plan and coordinate cutover rehearsals, dry-runs and associated testing activities.
- Establish Go/No-Go decision points, escalation processes and steering governance.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, quality controls and change requests.
- Produce regular project status reports and provide clear updates to senior stakeholders.
- Facilitate project governance, workstream meetings and steering committee sessions.
- Ensure effective communication between technical, functional and business stakeholders.
- Support English-language communication and coordinate translation support where required.
- Ensure the programme is delivered in line with agreed quality, timeline and business requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Higher education qualification.
- Proven experience managing large-scale SAP S/4HANA version upgrade and cloud migration projects.
- Within the last five years, experience acting as Project Manager on at least four large enterprise SAP S/4HANA upgrade and cloud migration programmes.
- Experience managing information systems supporting data from at least 20 institutions or companies and a workforce of at least 10,000 employees.
- Strong experience preparing and managing SAP transition and cutover plans.
- Demonstrable experience planning and executing cutover dry-runs and go-live rehearsals.
- Strong knowledge of SAP project governance, risk management, issue management and change control.
- Good technical and process-level understanding of SAP systems and S/4HANA transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of SAP data migration activities, dependencies and associated risks.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders, vendors and delivery workstreams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience working alongside a major systems integrator or consulting organisation.
- Experience delivering SAP cloud migration programmes within highly regulated or complex enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of testing governance, quality assurance and release management.
- Experience presenting programme updates to executive steering committees and senior leadership teams.
