Description
We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis Consultant with strong HANA administration expertise to manage, configure, and optimize SAP systems across landscapes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SAP system installations, upgrades, migrations, performance tuning, and security, with a focus on SAP HANA database administration and S/4HANA environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform SAP system installation, configuration, upgrade, migration, and maintenance (S/4HANA, ECC, BW, Solution Manager, etc.).
- Administer SAP HANA databases monitoring, backup, recovery, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Manage system refreshes, client copies, transport management, and background job scheduling.
- Implement and manage user administration, roles, and authorizations.
- Monitor system health, performance, and capacity across SAP landscapes.
- Plan and execute system upgrades, Support Packages (SP), kernel upgrades, and patches.
- Work closely with infrastructure teams for OS, network, and database-level coordination.
- Ensure high availability, security compliance, and adherence to SAP best practices.
- Manage change requests, incident handling, and root cause analysis for SAP Basis issues.
- Support integration of SAP systems with third-party applications and cloud environments.
Technical Skills
- Strong experience in SAP Basis Administration (8+ years).
- Expertise in SAP HANA Administration installation, upgrade, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with S/4HANA migrations and implementations.
- Knowledge of Solution Manager, SAP Fiori, and SAP NetWeaver architecture.
- Proficient in OS (Linux/Unix/Windows) and DB (HANA, Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase) administration concepts.
- Experience in Transport Management System (TMS) and CTS+.
- Exposure to Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) preferred.
- Understanding of SAP Security, GRC, and SSO concepts is an advantage.
