We are looking for an experienced SAP & Vertex Integration Lead/Manager with 10+ years of experience to join our team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in end-to-end Vertex integration with SAP and hands-on expertise in SAP & Vertex configuration and troubleshooting.
This role requires a deep understanding of global and country-specific tax procedures and the ability to effectively communicate technical requirements to both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of Vertex integration with SAP, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- Configure and troubleshoot SAP & Vertex integrated applications to ensure seamless functionality.
- Develop and maintain expertise in the Vertex tax engine, including tax rules, calculations, and data structure configurations.
- Manage Vertex setups, including Tax Product Category (TPC), Tax Product Driver (TPD), and Tax Assist Rules.
- Handle both output and input taxes efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather technical requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
- Provide expertise in SAP FICO business processes, including P2P, OTC, AP, AR, GL, and Controlling, with a focus on month/year-end processes.
- Work with interfaces like ALE, EDI IDOC, and RFC for seamless data exchange.
- Support the development of custom objects, including:
- Requirement gathering
- Preparing functional design documents
- Effort estimation
- Conducting unit testing & system integration testing
- Understanding SAP tables in FI and CO
- Translate business requirements into standard/custom solutions in finance, focusing on tax, VAT determination, and withholding tax.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience with SAP & Vertex integration, configuration, and management.
- Deep understanding of global and country-specific tax procedures.
- Strong knowledge of Vertex tax engine, tax rules, and configurations.
- Experience with SAP FICO processes and month/year-end activities.
- Proficiency in working with interfaces such as ALE, EDI IDOC, and RFC.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work the 2 PM to 11 PM shift and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in managing SAP & Vertex integration projects in a global or multi-regional context.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools.
