Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
SAP ABAP on HANA Developer to design, develop, and implement high-quality SAP solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in
Core ABAP,
ABAP on HANA, and hands-on experience in
S/4HANA environments. You will work closely with functional and technical teams to deliver scalable, optimized, and high-performance business solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities
Core Development
- Develop, enhance, and support SAP ABAP applications including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Forms & Workflows (RICEF/W).
- Build custom objects and enhancements using ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, AMDP, and OData services.
- Optimize ABAP code and SQL queries leveraging SAP HANA capabilities.
S/4HANA & Technical Expertise
- Build and maintain CDS Views, BOPF, and OData services for Fiori applications.
- Work on performance tuning for HANA-optimized applications.
- Develop custom Fiori/UI5 applications (basic understanding preferred).
Integration & Support
- Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Work on IDocs, BAPIs, BDCs, and Proxy integrations.
- Support SIT/UAT testing and provide timely defect resolutions.
Documentation & Standards
- Prepare technical specifications (TSD) and unit test documents.
- Follow SAP development standards, best practices, and quality guidelines.
Required Skills- Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP (RICEF objects).
- Expertise in ABAP on HANA, including:
- CDS Views
- AMDP
- SQL Script
- Performance tuning
- Good knowledge of OData, Fiori integration, and RESTful APIs (RAP is a plus).
- Experience working in S/4HANA implementation or support projects.
- Knowledge of IDocs, BAPIs, User Exits, Enhancement Framework, and SmartForms/Adobe Forms.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Exposure to RAP (Restful ABAP Programming Model).
- Basic knowledge of SAP UI5/Fiori development.
- Understanding DevOps tools and transports (CTS+).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
