Position: SAP ABAP Developer (Offshore) – Supply Chain / High‑Tech Semiconductor Domain

Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to join our offshore development team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in SAP ABAP development and hands‑on experience supporting complex business processes. Prior exposure to Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or High‑Tech Semiconductor environments is highly desirable.

This role involves working closely with onshore functional teams, solution architects, and business stakeholders to design, develop, test, and support custom SAP solutions across multiple modules.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP custom objects using ABAP, including:
• Reports (Classical/ALV)
• Interfaces (IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, OData)
• Conversions
• Enhancements (User Exits, BADIs, Enhancement Framework)
• Forms (SmartForms, Adobe Forms)
• Support SAP modules commonly used in supply chain and manufacturing environments (e.g., MM, SD, PP, QM, WM/EWM).
• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing support, and defect resolution.
• Optimize existing custom code for performance and maintainability.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
• Provide offshore production support, including issue analysis, debugging, and timely resolution.
• Work within Agile or hybrid delivery models, coordinating with global teams across time zones.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of hands‑on SAP ABAP development experience.
• Strong proficiency in:
• Object‑Oriented ABAP
• CDS Views and ABAP on HANA
• SAP Gateway / OData services
• ALE/IDoc processing
• Experience working in offshore/onshore delivery models.
• Ability to understand complex business processes and propose effective technical solutions.
• Strong debugging and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort working with distributed teams.
  

Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have

• Experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or High‑Tech Semiconductor industries.
• Familiarity with:
• SAP S/4HANA environments
• EWM or TM integration points
• MES or shop‑floor systems integration
• SAP Fiori/UI5 (basic understanding)
• Knowledge of performance tuning in HANA‑based systems.
• Exposure to DevOps tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Solution Manager ChaRM).
  

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
