Roles & Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the development of SAP ABAP - Syntax, Reports, ALV, Code Optimization, SAPSCRIPTS, SMARTFORMS, BDC, LSMW, IDOC, ALE, USER EXITS, OBJECTS TRANSPORTING, BAPI, BADI, EDI and WORKFLOW.
- Act as the technical expert, ensuring quick turnaround in identifying application issues and providing timely solutions.
- Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation phases of project.
- Transform business function requirements into technical program specifications to code, test and debug programs.
- Develop, code, document and execute unit tests, systems, integration and acceptance tests and testing tools for functions of medium and high complexity.
- Perform performance tuning to improve performance over multiple functions.
- Engage other technical team members in the design, delivery, and deployment of solutions.
- Ensure integration system activities including monitoring the technical architecture (particularly scalability, availability and archiving) meet all SLA's.
- Manage operational support, performing work during change windows as well as providing on call support as required by the team.
- Undertake performance tuning activities for SAP integration activities and connect with client for troubleshooting: investigate, analyze, and solve software problems.
- Work self-directed and independently; may act as subject matter mentor and coach junior developer resources.
- Review and revise technical designs to meet ABAP project requirements by conducting defect analysis and perform necessary fixes/enhancements.
- Collaborate with functional owners, architects and other personnel to develop dynamic and flexible systems to meet the emerging demands of the market.
- Assist in unit testing of ABAP programs, review program codes and correct ABAP program errors by working in in compliance with the programming and documentation standards.
- Maintain/ update existing program codes as needed and develop technical specification with estimations for assigned project.
- Ensure project completion within the allotted timelines and budget by troubleshooting production problems in a timely manner.
- Hands on ODATA is preferable and should also have ABAP restful programming experience.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- ·Minimum of 6-10 years of ABAP experience and strong object orientation experience in a full cycle implementation as well as in support projects.
- ·Have designing and development experience in all ABAP objects.
- ·SAP Fiori development experience and S4HANA Exposure is preferable.
- ·Strong communication/analytical skills and ability to write technical/functional specifications
- ·Ability to multitask and manage multiple deliverables and projects at the same time.
- ·Ability to work in a team environment, effectively interacting with other team members.
- ·Must be results oriented, and demonstrate a positive attitude – adaptability, flexibility and resourcefulness.
