Job Description

This position is a Solution Architect - Customer Experience Platform embedded with the Enterprise Architecture Organization. The Architect will work with the Digital Solutions - Customer Experience Platform group and will be responsible for the end-to-end solution architecture and design guidance that supports the development and support of the platform that will primarily run on the Salesforce. This includes Customer Portal, MarComm and Customer Service value streams. The person selected for this role will work with the platform architects on multiple projects in parallel to define architectures and represent those architectures within the development teams. Candidates should have a bachelors degree in computer science or related field and 15+ years of experience working in in designing and developing end to end solution architecture with 5+ years of experience on CRM and B2B commerce Platforms like Salesforce & MS Dynamics as an Architect

Required Experience And Skill Set

Experience in defining and architecting future ready B2B commerce and CRM products and platforms and demonstrated digital architecture thought leadership (big picture thinking)

Should have extensive experience in end-to-end solutioning which includes.

  • Planning with the PO and PMs- road mapping (prerelease)
  • Providing the architecture approach and design - solution and tech components for the scope and scale being considered for those releases.
  • Identifying the work - size and scale required for planning purposes.
  • Supporting cost estimates for the work
  • Providing the platform architects and technical leads the architectural vision, approach, identified work, and scalability requirements to ensure technical designs meet the desired outcomes.
  • Ensuring the platform architects and leads deliver a consistent design that follow standard architecture approach.

Functionally strong in B2B Commerce Purchase (Order to Invoice processes) and Post Purchase (Invoice to cash processes) Domains.

Strong exposure to Portals (Partner, Customer) with varied use of using CMS and Data Driven Development

Functionally and technically strong in Salesforce.com, Lightning Experience Cloud, B2B Commerce, Service Cloud (Support) and CPQ (Configure Price Quote)

Strong exposure to Salesforce Lightning (Lightning Experience, Aura and LWC) and understands in depth of Salesforce Lightning Design System.

Should have strong experience in hands-on development using out-of-box features and custom development with Apex, Visualforce, JavaScript and other force.com programming languages including high proficiency in lightning.

Should provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing technology solutions including integrations with other enterprise software solutions (Mulesoft (real-time) and Informatica Cloud (batch))

Build and develop web services using REST, SOAP and other Salesforce APIs to support various integration points with other systems.

Should perform System Evaluation in recommending points and consideration for Config vs Code.

Has performed at-least three End to end Project Transformations in Salesforce using Sales, Service or Community.

Proactive and willing to learn new Technologies with focus on very large data volumes and security.

Should have Admin, Platform Developer 2 with either salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud or Community Cloud consultant Certification.

Voracious and Independent thinker willing to handle Customer/ Stakeholders. Willing to work independently as required.

Should be aware of Scrum working process and handling large teams

Strong influencing and communication skills - ability to present solution to IT Leadership, business stakeholders, product, and development teams in a compelling a manner to help them understand why such a solution is required and have the ability to justify the rationale of the particular solution design. Ability to influence in complex situations where stakeholders do not always agree about methods, choices, and strategic direction.

Experience with developing resource and budget estimates (BOM and staffing)

Working with global remote teams

Desired Skills

Nice to Have Salesforce Architecture Certification in Application Architect or System Architect with exposure to CTA.

Nice to have person who understands Salesforce B2B E-commerce, Marketing Cloud, and varying Industry Cloud exposure.

Strong familiarity with emerging digital frameworks and patterns, information security and data access controls

Experience of working with platform/package vendors and their solution teams as part of architecting the overall solution.

Technical acumen and proficiency in Agile and DevOps methodologies, tools, and governance/standards

Ability to deliver various artifacts as part of the enterprise application architecture, including implementation models, technology matrices, communications diagrams, application use-case diagrams, migration/distribution diagrams, etc.

Understanding of software development practices like DevOps and CI/CD tool chains (i.e., Jenkins, Spinnaker, Azure DevOps, GitHub) is preferred
