A rapidly growing national healthcare organization is expanding its Salesforce ecosystem to support internal operations and new technology service offerings. The team is seeking a Salesforce Subject Matter Expert who can architect, administer, and guide the next phase of Salesforce growth across a complex, matrixed environment.

This individual will play a key role in designing a scalable Salesforce environment that connects multiple departments, enhances data visibility, and supports commercialization of new healthcare technology solutions. The position combines strategic architecture and hands-on execution, ideal for a professional who can think big-picture while delivering practical results.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture & Strategy

  • Lead the design and architecture of the company's Salesforce ecosystem, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and potential future modules such as Experience Cloud, CPQ, and Portals.
  • Translate business objectives into scalable Salesforce solutions supporting Sales, Operations, Finance, and Technology teams.
  • Develop a multi-year Salesforce roadmap within the first 90 days, aligning technical solutions to organizational goals.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to define requirements, processes, and data models for cross-functional integrations.

Administration & Development

  • Perform hands-on administration including user management, workflows, flows, data integrity, and reporting.
  • Configure and develop custom functionality as needed (e.g., Lightning components, automation, integrations).
  • Establish governance and change management processes for Salesforce requests and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with offshore and onshore teams to balance cost and performance while maintaining system quality.

Cross-Functional Enablement

  • Act as the Salesforce liaison between technical and business users, ensuring alignment and transparency.
  • Enable business leaders to access actionable dashboards for operational insights.
  • Advise stakeholders on which Salesforce modules, tools, and integrations best support business expansion.

Integration & Scalability

  • Drive Salesforce integrations with key systems such as finance, recruiting, and customer success platforms.
  • Evaluate and adopt best practices from other business units with advanced Salesforce environments.
  • Design for growth ensuring scalability from 50 to 500+ users in a dynamic enterprise setting.

Qualifications:

  • 510+ years of Salesforce experience, including architecture, administration, and development.
  • Proven ability to architect scalable Salesforce solutions in complex or multi-entity environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Sales Cloud and Service Cloud; exposure to Experience Cloud, CPQ, or Health Cloud a plus.
  • Healthcare industry experience required, ideally in a regulated or matrixed organization.
  • Strong understanding of integrations, governance, and user adoption strategy.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills; able to bridge technical and non-technical teams.
  • Salesforce certifications preferred (Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Application Architect, or equivalent).
  • Open to offshore, nearshore, or U.S.-based candidates with excellent spoken and written English.

Initial 90-Day Milestones

  1. Conduct business discovery and requirements gathering across functional teams.
  2. Deliver an architectural schematic and current-state assessment of the Salesforce environment.
  3. Define and document the Salesforce roadmap and budget for long-term growth.
  4. Begin initial development and foundational buildout in the final 30 days of the first quarter.

Ideal Candidate Traits

  • Strategic thinker with hands-on delivery capability.
  • Naturally curious and eager to understand how Salesforce can drive healthcare innovation.
  • Confident communicator and collaborator who thrives in a cross-functional environment.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-growing, evolving organization with both onshore and offshore collaboration.
