About Nivasi
Nivasi is a community-first platform designed to help residents of gated communities discover and interact with trusted service providers, local businesses, and product sellers. We are expanding our on-ground presence and looking for a driven, smart, and relationship-oriented Marketing Executive to support our growth.
Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and energetic Marketing Executive who can manage on-ground marketing, vendor onboarding, resident engagement, and customer support. The ideal candidate is comfortable with field sales, highly computer savvy, and capable of managing both relationship-building and operational follow-through.
Key Responsibilities
1. Vendor Acquisition & Business Outreach
- Meet local businesses (service providers, shops, product sellers) to onboard them onto the Nivasi platform.
- Explain Nivasi's value proposition, pricing, and onboarding process.
- Build long-term relationships with businesses and encourage them to stay active on the platform.
2. Field Sales & Platform Management
- Conduct in-person outreach within communities and nearby business zones.
- Use the Nivasi Admin Portal to onboard vendors, update listings, upload product details, and monitor activity.
- Assist vendors in understanding how to use the platform and respond to resident reviews.
3. Product Listing & Review Generation
- Identify local product-based businesses and help them list their catalog on Nivasi.
- Encourage vendor partners to request reviews from residents to build trust and visibility.
- Work closely with the product team to ensure listings are complete and accurate.
4. Resident Customer Support
- Handle incoming support queries from residents via WhatsApp, email, or calls.
- Troubleshoot issues related to orders, vendor communication, or app usage.
- Provide prompt and empathetic assistance with a strong customer-first mindset.
5. Marketing Content & Campaign Execution
- Create simple yet powerful copy for email and WhatsApp marketing campaigns.
- Understand customer pain points and articulate how Nivasi solves them.
- Work with internal teams to execute campaigns that drive engagement and adoption.
6. Order Delivery Escalation Management
- Monitor vendor performance and order delivery statuses.
- Follow up with vendors when orders are delayed or issues arise.
- Ensure escalated orders are delivered promptly and maintain service quality standards.
7. Engagement & Growth Initiatives
- Drive resident engagement through platform activities, offers, and communication.
- Collect on-ground feedback from both residents and vendors to improve adoption.
- Work closely with the leadership team to plan and execute community engagement ideas.
8. Work Discipline & Flexibility
- Work standard business hours (9 AM 6 PM, MondayFriday).
- Be willing to extend hours occasionally during busy periods, events, or escalations.
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and ownership at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have Skills
- 25 years of field sales/marketing experience, preferably in local business onboarding, FMCG, logistics, or hyperlocal apps.
- Strong communication skills in English and Tamil (spoken & written).
- Tech-savvy with hands-on experience using admin portals, CRM tools, spreadsheets, and mobile apps.
- Customer support experience with strong problem-solving ability.
- Content writing ability for WhatsApp/email campaigns (basic marketing copywriting).
- Negotiation & persuasion skills to convince local businesses and drive partnerships.
- Ability to multitask across marketing, sales, support, and operational follow-ups.
- A go-getter mindset with the ability to operate independently and deliver results.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience working with hyperlocal marketplaces (Dunzo, Swiggy Stores, UrbanClap, Zomato, etc.).
- Familiarity with community-focused platforms or B2C consumer apps.
- Creative thinking for engagement initiatives.
- Prior experience working with support ticketing systems.
