Job Summary
We are seeking an aggressive, field-oriented Sales Engineer to operate out of our branch office in Shukrawar Peth, Pune. This role focuses on driving sales and expanding our market presence across Pune and the PMRDA region. The product portfolio includes V4/V6 Submersible Pumps, Openwell Pumps, Monoblocks, Self-Priming Pumps, and Firefighting Pump Systems. The candidate will manage walk-in trade inquiries at the wholesale hub, tap into local dealer markets, and pitch directly to MEP contractors and builders.
Key Responsibilities
- Branch & Hub Management: Leverage the strategic location in Shukrawar Peth (Pune's prime commercial/wholesale pump market) to handle trade walk-ins, build immediate dealer rapport, and coordinate dispatches.
- Channel Development: Identify and appoint new dealers, stockists, and retail distributors across Pune city and expanding PMRDA zones (e.g., Chakan, Wagholi, Hinjawadi, Hadapsar).
- Project & B2B Sales: Pitch firefighting systems and commercial monoblocks to real estate developers, MEP consultants, and plumbing contractors.
- Technical Consulting: Select the correct pump configurations based on head, discharge, and flow requirements for residential, agricultural, and commercial applications.
- Target Achievement: Meet or exceed monthly sales, revenue, and collection targets across all product lines.
- Commercial Operations: Generate quotes, manage partner credit terms, and ensure timely payment collections to maintain a healthy cash flow.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience selling domestic, agricultural, or industrial pumps.
- Network & Presence: Existing relationships with pump traders in Shukrawar Peth/Budhwar Peth, or structural networks with Pune-based MEP contractors.
- Technical Knowledge: Clear understanding of pump performance curves, motor ratings, and regulatory standards for firefighting setups (NBC/TAC guidelines).
- Geographical Knowledge: Complete familiarity with Pune's central wholesale markets and the peripheral industrial/residential corridors of PMRDA.
- Language: Fluent in Marathi and Hindi for effective daily interaction with local traders, dealers, and site staff.
