In this role, the incumbent will be needed to develop products and technologies for relevant categories. He/she needs to lead formula development activities in the project and deliver different activities of product development in time with quality research & development.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-CONCLUSIVE)
Project or Insight Management
Lead Supply Chain & Roll-out Core Team: The job holder will join core team meetings on supply chain and roll-out projects. He/she will lead decision with help of formula head to manage the project progress.
Manage low complexity innovation projects. Job holder should be able to define and execute actions for managing low complex innovation project.
Manage Project Activities: Job holder plans and manages activities of supply chain, roll-out projects, and low complex innovation projects for his/her categories independently in his/her area. Person should be able to work on several projects at a time.
Novel Technology/Capability Development:
2.1 Support Value Management (VM) approaches and Supply Chain (SC) project: Job holder should be able to support value management analysis and activities for categories. He/she should be able to supply chain requests.
2.2 Support novel technology and capabilities for projects and categories. Job holder should be able to support on category understanding and building. He/she should be able to support on competition understanding, technology mapping and technology development.
2.3 Support for Patent filing: Job holder should be able to support patents drafting in defining invention and disclosures.
Workflow know how: Job Holder should be able to manage R&D (Research & Development) workflows on formula databases, Stability tests, micro, safety assessment, registration process, artwork
Organisation Task: Enabling site and team organizational solution by participating in India R&D workgroups on safety, culture, and simplification.
KEY KNOWLEDGE/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Technical: Knowledge of Basic Sciences, formulation, and stability monitoring.
Industry Knowledge- Good understanding of FMCG business environment.
Communication: Speaks clearly, fluently, and effectively to both individual and groups using appropriate style and language.
Presentation & Analytics: Proficient in power point presentations & Excel. Should be methodical, systematic and have logical reasoning
Interpersonal skills: Persuasive and influencing, collaboration, motivates and empowers others to reach organizational goals, effective co-ordination with other stakeholders
Project Management: Ability to work on projects within defined timelines & managing constraints.
Internal: collaborate with Beiersdorf interface partners (e.g., Product Testing, QM (Quality Management), Safety, Development labs, legal, marketing) as well as participate in internal R&D working groups.
External: Collaborate with RM (Raw Materials) suppliers external and innovation partners.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Education: M. Pharma, M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry, B.Tech/M. Tech in Chemical Engineering / Cosmetic Science / Biotechnology and related education
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience (Minimum 1 year if post-graduation from tier-1 institutes) in the field of formulation development preferably in the field of Skin Care, Body Care, Deodorants and Shower.
Global mobility preferred.
