Research Engineer (6-month contract), SCIS

RESPONSIBILITIES

• This position is for School of Computing and Information Systems (SCIS).
• Design cryptographic algorithms with research fellow/PI and check security proof.
• Implement the designed zero-knowledge proof and MPC.
• Benchmark and draft the comparison part of paper.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security or closely related disciplines with particular focus on cryptography and/or cybersecurity.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant research experience in cryptography.
• Proficiency in programming software/languages such as Rust and Python will be positively considered/ is required.
• Proven track record and professional experience in cryptography.
• Demonstrated experience and know-how on analyze the security of an algorithm.
• Excellent working knowledge of zero-knowledge proof.
• Ability to break down complex problems and design effective solutions.
• Innovating new approaches and thinking outside the box.
• Applicants with research publications in cryptography/cybersecurity area will be advantageous.
• Ability to work cooperatively as part of a small, agile academic research team is essential.
• Self-motivated individual who can work independently and collaboratively with team members.
