Position: Research Associate/ Research Engineer

Position Summary
The Research Associate will be primarily responsible for
inorganic characterization of SG raw materials and products using techniques such as
XRF,
ICP-OES,
CHNS, and
Ion Chromatography (IC). The role demands strong expertise in
XRF, including
method development,
calibration, and
instrument troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and advanced inorganic analysis using XRF, ICP-OES, CHNS, and IC.
- Lead method development, calibration protocols, and troubleshooting for XRF and other analytical instruments.
- Ensure instruments are well-maintained and coordinate repairs with service personnel.
- Adapt analytical approaches for a wide range of materials and applications.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with Saint-Gobain's data management norms.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders.
- Prepare technical reports and communicate findings clearly.
- Plan and prioritize daily lab activities with minimal supervision.
- Maintain lab cleanliness, safety, and compliance with chemical handling and disposal regulations.
- Advocate for behavior-based safety and responsible lab practices.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety, waste management, inventory, and 5S standards.
Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
- M.Sc./ MTech in Chemistry/ Ceramics/ Construction materials with 2–5 years of experience in inorganic chemistry, preferably in an R&D or QC lab.
- Hands-on experience in XRF and/or ICP-OES is essential.
