Job Description: Reporting Analyst

Role Summary
We are seeking a proactive and data-driven Ops Resource Analyst to oversee resource allocation, workforce planning, and operational workflow management across our multidisciplinary AR/VR engineering teams.
In this role, you will act as the operational bridge between Engineering Leads, Service Delivery Managers (SDMs), and vendor partners. You will manage end-to-end resource lifecycles—from onboarding, seat/space assignments, and shift scheduling to overtime approvals and billing reconciliation—ensuring our technical programs are optimally staffed and executing smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
1. Workforce & Resource Planning
- Allocation Management: Maintain full visibility into resource allocation, roles, and project assignments across multiple specialized workstreams (e.g., DevX, ARCore, Immersive, Glasses, and TPGM).
- Capacity & Shift Scheduling: Track working hours, shift schedules, and coverage across domestic and international site locations (e.g., Mountain View, Bangalore, San Jose).
- Contingent Workforce Lifecycle: Oversee onboarding and offboarding workflows for contract personnel, including start/termination dates, FTE manager alignments, and role updates.
2. Operational & Spatial Logistics
- Site & Asset Management: Coordinate physical building and space ID assignments (e.g., US-SJC-TM4) to support team growth, seat allocation, and relocations.
- Overtime & Exception Tracking: Review, track, and approve overtime requests across technical teams, ensuring alignment with project budgets and policy thresholds.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for Service Delivery Managers (SDMs) to address day-to-day staffing bottlenecks and operational issues.
3. Reporting & Governance
- Roster Maintenance: Maintain master roster data across spreadsheets and automated databases, ensuring continuous data integrity for personnel, roles, and vendor details.
- Financial Alignment: Partner with the Financial Reports Analyst to reconcile resource counts, base/discounted bill rates, and purchase orders (POs) against actual operational hours.
- Operational Metrics: Monitor key operational metrics, including staffing turn-around time, team utilization rates, and turnover trends.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Operations Experience: 3+ years of experience in operations management, resource management, or workforce planning within tech, engineering, or vendor management environments.
- Client Environment Proficiency: Advanced skills in Client Sheets (data validation, query functions, pivot tables) and familiarity with Client Workspace.
- Workforce Logistics: Hands-on experience managing contingent workers, tracking shift patterns/overtime, and coordinating office/lab space assignments.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills with a proven track record of partnering with technical managers, vendors, and finance teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting engineering or hardware operations teams (AR/VR, mobile, QA testing).
- Basic familiarity with Looker Studio or automated dashboards for tracking real-time headcount and resource metrics.
- Experience with vendor management systems (VMS) or automated ticketing workflows.
