Rebar Cad Detailer

Key Responsibilities

1. Precast & Rebar Detailing

Prepare highly accurate 2D/3D shop drawings, erection layouts, and component details

(panels, beams, columns, stairs, hollow-core slabs, etc.).

Develop comprehensive reinforcement detailing for all precast elements, ensuring bar

shapes, lap lengths, hooks, bends, and anchorage are compliant with relevant

standards (BS 8666, IS 2502, ACI 318, Eurocode 2, or project-specific codes).

Generate bar-bending schedules (BBS) using CADS RC for seamless production and

site execution.

Validate reinforcement congestion, cover requirements, and concrete placement

feasibility.

2. Coordination & Collaboration

Interpret and cross-check architectural and structural drawings to identify discrepancies

early and propose solutions.

Liaise with structural engineers, architects, project managers, and production teams to

ensure constructability and to resolve design issues before fabrication. Collaborate with BIM teams to integrate precast and rebar models with overall project

models (Revit/Tekla/AutoCAD).

3. Standards, Compliance & Quality Control

Apply company and client CAD/BIM standards, maintaining strict version control and

document management protocols.

Conduct self-checks and participate in peer reviews to maintain zero-error deliverables.

Ensure all outputs meet QA/QC requirements and health & safety considerations for

lifting, handling, and site erection.

4. Project & Production Support

Provide technical support to factory production teams for reinforcement bending,

cutting, and placement.

Track revisions and maintain drawing logs, ensuring timely release of approved

drawings and schedules.

Assist in value-engineering efforts to optimize reinforcement quantities and precast

design.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education: Diploma or Bachelor's in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent

technical discipline.

Experience: Minimum 5+ years in precast detailing, with at least 3 years focused on

reinforcement detailing using CADS RC.

Software Expertise:

o CADS RC (advanced proficiency essential)

o AutoCAD (2D drafting)

o Tekla Structures and/or Revit (for BIM coordination)

• o MS Office (Excel for BBS verification)
