React Native Developer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Develop and maintain a cross-platform digital banking mobile application using React Native (TypeScript) for iOS and Android, delivering feature modules from design handoff through app store release 
• Implement customer-facing features end-to-end - secure login (JWT, OTP/MFA, device biometrics via Face ID / fingerprint), account dashboards, funds transfer and bill payment flows, card controls, and push notification driven journeys 
• Integrate with the REST API middleware layer: configure the HTTP client, request/response interceptors, token refresh, offline handling, and consistent loading, error, and empty states across screens 
• Handle mobile-specific engineering concerns - secure storage (Keychain/Keystore), deep linking, app performance and startup time optimisation, crash monitoring, and OTA updates 
• Write and maintain unit and component tests (Jest, React Native Testing Library), participate in PR reviews, and translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, brand-compliant screens 
• Support release management - build signing, TestFlight / Play Console distribution, store submission checklists, and post-release monitoring 

MUST HAVE SKILLS 

• 3 to 5 years of professional mobile development experience, with at least 2 years in React Native and TypeScript delivering production apps to the App Store and Google Play 
• Strong command of React fundamentals - hooks, context, navigation (React Navigation), and state management (Redux Toolkit / Zustand) 
• Hands-on experience integrating REST APIs with Axios or Fetch, including authentication token lifecycles and error handling patterns 
• Working knowledge of native platform concepts - iOS/Android build tooling (Xcode, Gradle), permissions, secure storage, push notifications (FCM/APNs), and biometrics APIs 
• Experience with automated testing (Jest, React Native Testing Library or Detox) and Git-based workflows with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Bitrise, or App Center) 
• Ability to work from Figma designs and a design token system to deliver consistent, accessible UI; banking or fintech project exposure is a strong plus
