Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for Quality – Plating Experts based in Chennai. The role involves overseeing quality control and quality assurance activities specific to plating processes on precision plastic and metal components. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring plating operations, conducting inspections and measurements, analyzing process data, and ensuring compliance with internal quality standards and customer specifications. The Quality – Plating Expert will collaborate closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues, implement corrective and preventive actions, and optimize plating parameters. The role also includes maintaining documentation for quality systems, supporting audits, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in plating quality and process efficiency.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret test results, process data, and identify root causes of plating-related defects.
- Candidates should possess Quality Control skills with hands-on experience in inspections, measurements, and testing of plated components.
- Candidates should possess Quality Assurance and Quality Management skills to develop, implement, and maintain procedures that ensure consistent plating quality.
- Candidates should possess Quality System knowledge, including experience with ISO standards or similar frameworks relevant to manufacturing.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, preferably with experience in plating or surface treatment processes.
- Familiarity with plating technologies, surface finishing techniques, and related equipment used in precision component manufacturing.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and document findings and actions accurately.
- Experience in consumer electronics or precision manufacturing environments is an advantage.
