Role Summary

As a Quality Engineer, you will contribute to the design, execution, and maintenance of quality assurance activities for modern, cloudu2011native applications built on Node.js, Express.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS. You will work closely with senior engineers to implement automated tests, validate application functionality, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. What Youu2019ll Be Doing

  • Assist in developing automated test cases for backend services, RESTful APIs endpoints, and frontend components using Webdriver.IO, Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright.

  • Support contract testing efforts (e.g., Pact) under guidance from senior engineers to ensure API compatibility.u00A0

  • Execute functional, integration, regression, and basic performance tests for Node.js/Express.js applications and PostgreSQL database interactions.u00A0

  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Docker) with support from the DevOps team.u00A0

  • Participate in infrastructure validation for AWS ECS Fargate, S3, RDS PostgreSQL, and CloudFormation deployments.u00A0

  • Assist in accessibility testing aligned with WCAG 2.1/2.2 standards, ARIA roles, and automated audits (axeu2011core).u00A0

  • Collaborate with frontend teams using React.js and Materialu2011UI to ensure smooth API consumption and UI quality.u00A0

  • Document test results, defects, and compliance evidence for audit readiness.u00A0

  • Learn and apply observability practices (logs, metrics, traces) using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry.u00A0

What You Should Bringu00A0

  • 2u20134 years of professional experience in software quality engineering or test automation.u00A0

  • Familiarity with automated testing tools (Webdriver.IO, Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Playwright).u00A0

  • Exposure to backend services built with Node.js, Express.js, and PostgreSQL.u00A0

  • Familiarity with Core Web Vitals and frontend performance testing techniques using Jmeter/Loadrunner/K6.u00A0

  • Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS) and containerisation (Docker).u00A0

  • Bacheloru2019s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field u2014 or equivalent practical experience.u00A0

  • Awareness of accessibility testing and WCAG standards.u00A0

  • Interest in REST API testing and contract testing.u00A0

  • Desire to work in regulated industries (Life Sciences experience is a plus).u00A0

Preferred Qualificationsu00A0

  • Experience with FeathersJS or similar frameworks in academic or project work.u00A0

  • Knowledge of accessibility testing best practices.u00A0

  • Exposure to responsive design testing and crossu2011browser compatibility validation.u00A0

  • Experience with modern build tools (Webpack, Vite, Babel, ESLint) in a project setting.u00A0

  • Awareness of observability platforms (Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry).u00A0
