Quality Assurance Lead

Testing & Quality Assurance Expertise:

· Plan, design, and execute manual and automated test cases for complex, multi-product environments.

· Lead API and functional UI automation efforts.

· Must have extensive hands-on experience in test automation using Selenium or Katalon Studio, including test case development, execution, and maintenance for both UI and API layers.

· Should be able to independently design and develop automation scripts and frameworks for medium and complex projects, ensuring scalable and maintainable automation suites.

· Guide, mentor, and review automation scripts created by junior team members, ensuring adherence to best practices and organizational standards.

· Perform code reviews for automation scripts and support team members in troubleshooting complex automation challenges related to Katalon.

· Drive automation initiatives and proactively identify opportunities to improve test automation coverage and efficiency across projects.

· Perform in-depth manual testing to validate application functionality, performance, and reliability.

· Write, review, and execute complex SQL queries for comprehensive data validation and integrity checks.

· Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to application, API, and database functionality.

· Ensure seamless integration and communication between systems through thorough API testing.

· Identify, document, and track defects using test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).

· Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and frameworks to enhance coverage and efficiency.

· Stay updated with the latest testing methodologies and automation technologies.

Leadership & Collaboration Expertise:

· Lead the automation strategy and drive adoption across projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.

· Mentor and guide junior QA engineers in automation best practices and test design.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business analysts, developers, product owners) to understand requirements and clarify ambiguities.

· Communicate testing progress, issues, and risks effectively to stakeholders.

· Share knowledge through documentation, training, and peer mentoring.

· Manage priorities and adapt quickly to changing requirements in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Domain Expertise & Business Understanding:

· Leverage expertise in the insurance domain to ensure comprehensive test coverage aligned with business scenarios.

· Work closely with business teams to validate requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Experience:

8-11 years

Insurance experience mandatory

B Tech or BE Qualification
