Quality Assurance Engineer

What You'll Do
- Perform thorough manual testing of our AI-driven medical analysis tools, ensuring accuracy and reliability in processing complex patient data.
- Execute comprehensive test plans across web applications, focusing on user experience, data accuracy, and workflow validation.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and domain experts to understand user workflows and identify critical testing scenarios.
- Conduct specialized testing of AI/ML outputs, including validation of NLP results, LLM responses, and data processing accuracy across diverse medical datasets.
- Work directly with physicians and legal teams to gather feedback and ensure our tools meet real-world quality standards.
- Help establish QA processes and documentation standards, contributing to our testing practices as we scale.
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools while working collaboratively with the development team to resolve issues quickly.
Qualifications
Must Haves
- 3+ years of manual QA experience with web applications, including test case creation, execution, and defect management.
- Strong experience in functional testing, user acceptance testing, and exploratory testing.
- Familiarity with web technologies and ability to test applications built with modern frameworks.
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Linear, Jira, TestRail, or similar).
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts or strong willingness to learn, including how to validate model outputs and data processing results.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detailcritical when working with medical data.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Jest) or scripting for test automation.
- Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, Insomnia) and basic understanding of REST endpoints.
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
- Background in healthcare, medical devices, or regulated industries with understanding of compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) and web application architecture.
- Experience testing NLP applications, LLMs, or AI-powered products.
- Knowledge of accessibility testing and HIPAA compliance considerations.
- Understanding of agile development methodologies and CI/CD processes.
