Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented
Quality Control Engineer (Fresher) to join our team in the
CRGO steel manufacturing industry. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting in the inspection, testing, and documentation of materials and processes to ensure compliance with internal and customer quality standards.
This is an entry-level position offering hands-on training and exposure to quality systems in a precision-driven, process-heavy steel manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in quality inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished CRGO products (sheets, coils, laminations).
- Support the implementation of quality control processes for equipment such as:
- Slitting lines
- Cut-to-length lines
- Annealing furnaces
- Core cutting machines
- Conduct dimensional checks, surface inspection, and defect analysis using standard QC tools.
- Learn and assist with testing methods like:
- Core loss measurement
- Insulation resistance
- Thickness & width measurements
- Surface finish evaluation
- Maintain proper documentation and records as per ISO and internal quality standards.
- Support in calibration and maintenance of QC instruments.
- Coordinate with production and process teams to identify and report quality deviations.
- Learn to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Basic knowledge of quality control tools and measurement techniques
- Understanding of metallurgical properties and steel grades (added advantage)
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and quality documentation practices (preferred)
- Proficient in MS Excel and basic report preparation
