The Role (The Mission)
We are looking for a highly resilient QA Manager / Lead who thrives on absolute ownership. This isn't a role where you just execute someone else's test cases. You are the architect. You will have total freedom to define the quality standards for a mission-critical financial platform, work directly with high-profile clients, and build a QA department from the ground up.
Initially, you will act as a player-coach—owning the core execution, setting up testing frameworks from scratch, and training junior team members. As the practice streamlines, you will scale, hire, and manage a dedicated client-side QA team.
Key Responsibilities
- Build from Base Zero: Design, implement, and own the entire QA lifecycle process and automation/manual testing frameworks for client environments from scratch.
- Environment Ownership: Define and execute rigorous QA validation checks post-deployment in staging, establish robust regression suites, and orchestrate strict post-production deployment testing.
- Functional Integration: Work closely alongside the core Implementation team and interface directly with customer-side Finance teams to understand complex accounting workflows and ensure zero-defect delivery.
- Establish Quality Standards: Introduce, benchmark, and enforce QA best practices, test execution methodologies, and tracking metrics that scale seamlessly.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior engineers, review test scripts, manage resource allocation across delivery tracks, and lay the foundation for a high-performing QA wing.
Required Qualifications
- Core Experience: 8–10 years of professional QA testing experience, with a proven track record of architecting QA processes from scratch in unstructured, fast-growth, or agile consulting environments.
- Domain Knowledge: Strong familiarity with corporate Finance applications or modern ERP platform modules (Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, or FP&A systems). You must be able to comprehend complex ledger structures and speak the language of corporate finance teams.
- Methodology Depth: Deep expertise in defining staging/production test strategies, setting up automated or rigorous manual regression suites, and handling end-to-end post-deployment data validation.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with the confidence to handle enterprise finance stakeholders, present quality metrics, and take absolute accountability for release gates.
- Execution Grit: A practical, solutions-oriented professional who handles shifting timelines and dynamic client delivery dates with absolute composure.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with automated data verification frameworks or testing pipeline ingestion architectures.
- Prior experience in Fintech, B2B SaaS, or premium technical consulting firms.
- Familiarity with database testing (SQL testing scripts, data warehouse validation patterns).
