Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced
Python / Snowflake Developer to design, develop, and optimize scalable data solutions using
Python, Snowflake, SQL, and cloud data technologies. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in data engineering, ETL development, data modeling, and building high-performance data pipelines. You will work closely with data architects, analysts, and business teams to deliver reliable and efficient data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and Snowflake.
- Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance-optimized data transformations.
- Build and enhance ETL/ELT workflows for data ingestion, processing, and analytics.
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading from multiple sources into Snowflake.
- Develop Python scripts for data processing, automation, and integration activities.
- Optimize Snowflake performance including query tuning, warehouse management, and cost optimization.
- Implement data modeling techniques including Star and Snowflake schemas.
- Work with cloud platforms for data storage and processing (AWS/Azure/GCP preferred).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver data solutions.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, security, and governance standards.
- Troubleshoot data pipeline failures and implement long-term fixes.
- Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Python programming for data engineering and automation.
- Strong experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse.
- Advanced SQL skills including complex queries, joins, CTEs, window functions, and query optimization.
- Experience in ETL/ELT development and data pipeline frameworks.
- Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
- Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
- Experience working with large datasets and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git/GitHub.
- Understanding of CI/CD processes for data engineering workflows.
Preferred Skills- Experience with Apache Airflow / Azure Data Factory / AWS Glue / dbt.
- Knowledge of Snowflake features like:
- Snowpipe
- Streams & Tasks
- Time Travel
- Clustering
- Data Sharing
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI / Tableau.
- Knowledge of Spark/PySpark is an added advantage.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
