About The Opportunity
A fast-scaling B2B procurement and supply chain solutions firm operating across the Indian solar energy ecosystem, we enable seamless sourcing, vendor management, and cost-optimized procurement for solar EPCs, OEMs, and project developers. We specialize in accelerating solar project timelines by connecting buyers with verified suppliers, negotiating bulk rates, and managing end-to-end purchase workflows — all while maintaining strict compliance, quality benchmarks, and delivery SLAs.
Role & Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and onboard solar equipment suppliers (panels, inverters, mounting structures, cabling) across India with focus on cost, quality, and delivery reliability.
- Negotiate volume-based pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to meet client project budgets and timelines.
- Manage end-to-end PO processing — from RFQ issuance to invoice reconciliation — ensuring compliance with internal procurement policies and client specifications.
- Track inventory levels, lead times, and order status; proactively flag delays and coordinate with logistics and project teams to mitigate risks.
- Build and maintain a dynamic supplier database with performance ratings, certifications, and category-specific benchmarks for strategic sourcing.
- Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to align procurement with engineering specs, site requirements, and commissioning deadlines.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Procurement software (e.g., SAP MM, Oracle Procurement, Coupa)
- Solar PV components & specifications (panels, inverters, trackers, cables)
- RFQ/RFP management
- Vendor evaluation & negotiation
- PO processing & invoice matching
- MS Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, data validation)
- ERP systems (especially for purchase order tracking)
- Supplier performance dashboards
Preferred
- Experience with solar EPC or O&M companies
- Knowledge of IEC/ISO standards for solar equipment
- Familiarity with GST compliance in B2B procurement
