Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Execution:
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for power projects.
  • Coordinate engineering design, procurement of equipment, construction activities, and testing/commissioning.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks proactively.
  • Technical Oversight:
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes, safety standards, and client specifications.
  • Monitor engineering deliverables and technical documentation.
  • Resolve technical issues promptly in coordination with design and site teams.
  • Procurement & Vendor Management:
  • Oversee procurement of electrical equipment, transformers, switchgear, and related components.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers/subcontractors, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Manage contracts, negotiations, and vendor performance.
  • Construction & Site Management:
  • Supervise site execution activities, ensuring alignment with project plans.
  • Monitor progress, quality control, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Facilitate coordination between civil, electrical, and mechanical teams.
  • Testing & Commissioning:
  • Plan and manage pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
  • Verify system performance through testing procedures before project handover.
  • Ensure documentation for handover to client is complete and accurate.
  • Financial & Reporting:
  • Track project budgets, expenditures, and cost control measures.
  • Prepare progress reports for management and clients.
  • Ensure timely billing and collection milestones are achieved.
  • Team Leadership & Coordination:
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams across EPCT functions.
  • Conduct regular review meetings with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Experience Required

1015 years of experience in managing large-scale EPCT Power Projects (Hydro, Thermal, Transmission, or Substations).

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering (Master's preferred).
