Project Manager Industrial Warehousing (Civil & Project Management)

Location:

Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Compensation:

Rs. 6,00,000 8,00,000 Per Annum

About the Role:

Aruna Warehousing is developing Grade-A+ industrial and warehousing facilities across Tamil Nadu. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee end-to-end construction activities from site execution to handover ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, quality, and compliance standards.

This role is ideal for an engineer with a strong grounding in industrial / PEB / RCC construction who takes ownership, communicates clearly with consultants and contractors, and can enforce precision on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Prepare and monitor detailed project schedules.
  • Coordinate with design consultants, structural engineers, and contractors to finalize drawings and execution sequences.
  • Conduct weekly review meetings and prepare progress reports for management.

2. Execution & Quality Control

  • Supervise site execution for civil, PEB, electrical, plumbing, and external works.
  • Implement QA/QC procedures, materials testing, and vendor compliance checks.
  • Verify contractor work against drawings, BOQ, and specifications.
  • Maintain photographic and documentation records for each stage of construction.

3. Cost & Contractor Coordination

  • Validate running bills, quantity checks, and change orders before approvals.
  • Support procurement of materials and subcontractors with comparative evaluation.
  • Track budget utilization and cost-to-complete forecasts.

4. Safety, Statutory & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with statutory approvals, labour safety norms, and environmental standards.
  • Liaise with local authorities, consultants, and auditors for inspections and certifications.

5. Reporting & Handover

  • Maintain weekly MIS updates covering physical progress, issues, and mitigation actions.
  • Prepare project completion and snag lists for client handover.

Candidate Profile:

Education:

  • B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
  • M.Tech in Construction / Project Management preferred

Experience:

  • 510 yearstotal experience in project management and construction
  • Must have independently handledat least one full-cycle project (from foundation to handover)
  • Exposure to PEB structures, FM2 flooring, sprinkler systems, and external development preferred

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, billing, and quality systems
  • Familiarity with MS Project, AutoCAD, and Excel reporting
  • Ability to coordinate multiple vendors and consultants under tight timelines
  • Detail-oriented, disciplined, and process-driven
