Role Description The Project Engineer role at GeoSoft-Surtech is a full-time, on-site position based in Srinagar. The Project Engineer will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects, ensuring alignment with technical specifications, timelines, and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include developing project plans, monitoring progress, managing resources, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical and operational issues. The role involves applying project engineering and electrical engineering principles to support system design, installation, testing, and optimization. The Project Engineer will also prepare technical documentation, communicate project status to stakeholders, and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Strong Project Engineering and Electrical Engineering skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Proficiency in Project Management and Project Planning, including scheduling, resource allocation, risk assessment, and progress tracking.
  • Effective Communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, clients, and vendors, and for presenting technical information clearly.
  • Experience working on-site in engineering or infrastructure projects, preferably in geospatial, digital twin, or related domains.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Ability to use project management and engineering software tools; familiarity with CAD, 3D modeling, or GIS platforms is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning.
  • Capacity to work in a dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.
