Job Description:

Selected candidate has to perform the experiments on laboratory based fixed bed gasifier using biomass under various conditions. The candidate will be collecting various data and doing all analysis of the results obtained. The candidate will be interacting with industry and may perform some experiments in the industry. The candidate would be interacting with other researchers to carry out the specific experiment and may discharge any other duties assigned to him/her. It is a joint project between the Rescons-IISc-CSIRO (Australia).

Who We're Looking For:

• A Ph.D. holder in Chemical, Metallurgy, Mechanical, Environmental, Energy Science or related fields.
• Proficient in operating fixed bed gasifier. Good experimentalist. Excellent problem solving attitude.
• Good knowledge of multiphase flows and ASPEN plus.

Desirable Skills:

• An academic spirit, eager to explore and publish.

Experience in performing the experiment on gasifier. Knowledge of physical modelling along with analysis of data would be advantageous.

Working knowledge of Techno-economics and environmental challenges

Experience with reactor design, emission control strategies, and pilot-scale setups will be advantageous

Other information:

The consolidated salary for Research Associate I will be between Indian Rupees (INR) 65,000.00 and 80,000.00 per month. The appointment would be for 1 year. This position may be extended further for the right candidate and depending upon the availability of fund.
