Role Overview

The Project Architect is responsible for leading the design, planning, coordination, and execution of architectural projects from concept to completion. This role ensures projects meet functional, aesthetic, regulatory, and client standards while maintaining timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Design

Create conceptual designs, schematic plans, detailed drawings, and architectural layouts.

Translate client requirements into practical and innovative design solutions.

Prepare 2D/3D models, renderings, and design documentation.

2. Technical & Regulatory Compliance

Develop construction drawings, specifications, and technical details.

Ensure designs comply with local building codes, safety standards, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.

Coordinate with structural, MEP, interior, and landscape consultants.

3. Project Management

Lead project lifecycle from design initiation to site completion.

Manage timelines, deliverables, budget adherence, and risk controls.

Conduct design reviews, value engineering, and feasibility checks.

4. Client & Stakeholder Coordination

Conduct client meetings, presentations, and design discussions.

Understand requirements and provide expert architectural guidance.

Liaise with contractors, vendors, consultants, and government departments for approvals.

5. Construction Oversight

Carry out site visits, inspections, and quality checks.

Provide clarifications, resolve design conflicts, and approve material samples.

Monitor execution to ensure alignment with architectural intent.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of architectural principles, materials, and construction methods.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, BIM tools, and visualization software.

Excellent project management and coordination abilities.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Good communication and client-handling capabilities.

Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture (B.Arch / M.Arch).

Licensed/registered architect (preferred but optional depending on region).

410 years of professional experience in architectural design and project execution.
