Role Summary/Purpose:

As an Product Engineer, you'll Perform programming tasks to continuously improve IVR applications to maximize productivity and improve collections effectiveness

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform programming tasks to continuously improve IVR applications to maximize productivity and improve collections effectiveness

  • Perform design, code review, coding, testing and documentation phases of IVR programming projects

  • Ensure development standards are being followed

  • Develop and test software prior to deployment & Document and support existing and new IVR applications

  • Work closely with Lead Designer to better understand and implement coding projects

  • Consult with Technical Lead and Scrum Master on Application Architecture considerations during prioritization of IR, Change Controls, etc for release

  • Work closely with other IT teams to implement, support and maintain system technologies

  • Provide Tier 3 and Tier 4 support for resolution of production outages, root cause analysis and permanent correction

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in programming languages, Java, MVC Architecture, VXML, JSP, SQL, Servlets and Application administration

  • Minimum 2 years experience using UNIX command line interface, shell scripting, various UNIX-based tools

  • Minimum 2 years experience in Customer Service Systems and the interdependency of upstream and downstream systems

  • Experience developing applications using a variety of technologies, including Java, VXML, JavaScript,

  • Experience with Maven & Jenkins

  • Experience developing or integrating automated test tools

Desired Skills/Knowledge:

  • Familiarity in designing application using SOLID principles, Java and microservice design patterns with business acumen

  • Working knowledge in RDBMS

  • Ability to analyze, use structured problem solving and available tools to troubleshoot systems, identify root cause, action plans, impact and resolution options

Eligibility Criteria: Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of hands-on experience mentioned in Required Skill/Knowledge or in lieu of degree minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience.

Work Timings: 2 PM - 11 PM IST( Suggested)

(WORK TIMINGS: This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time - 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
