Role Purpose
The TV Analyitcs Product Owner is responsable for maximizing the value delivered by data analytics products within
TV, providing best possible user insights, content performance, and audience understanding to the different
stakeholders.
The role acts as a functional bridge between Epic Owners/Device's Product Owners and the Data Team and Product
Analytics comercial providers, translating functional requirements into raw event design and KPI implementations.
Main Responsibilities
- Work closely with Product Owners and Epic Owners to help define data analyitcs needs for existing or new
TV features.
- Help define event taxonomy for new events needed for feature tracking.
- Participate in clarification/refinement sessions with device developers in order to solve technical doubts
related to event implementation or 3rd party tools integration.
- Own KPIs and metrics definition (viewership, engagement, churn, content performance, ROI)
- Participate in RFx processes in order to technically assess comercial product analyitcs tools.
- Define ítems under analyitcs product roadmap and keep it prioritized.
- Gather requirements from stakeholders related to data analyitcs (KPIs, visualizations, reports, etc).
Technical
Required Competencies
- Experience designing event taxonomy to track specifc user actions (scrolls, clicks, focus, etc).
- Experience with any BI tools like Superset, PowerBI, Metabase, or Tableau.
- Experience using Non-SQL databases like Opensearch/Elasticsearch to analyze raw data, or building charts
and dashboards.
- Strong understanding of TV/media industry metrics (Video QoE, engagement, retention, etc).
- (nice to have) Experience with NPAW Suite, Conviva, or MUX tools for Video QoE analysis
- (nice to have) SQL skills
- (nice to have) Basic understanding of data architectures (Kafka, Spark)
Product & Business
- Strong analytical capability to structure complex or ambiguous requirements into clear customer problem
statements and solution options
- Product management experience or related skills (including Project management)
- Solid understanding of user experience principles, interaction patterns, and platform-specific requirements
across mobile, web, and Big Screen (TV) environments
- Working understanding of agile product development and collaboration with Product Owners, Epic Owners,
and delivery teams
- Ability to work effectively with specialists from design, research, testing, engineering, and analytics
