Role description:
We are now recruiting talented individuals to fill our current vacancy of an Principal Consultant - GIS to work with our Environment business on projects in the North American region.
Role accountabilities:
- Comprehensive knowledge of ArcGIS suite (ArcMap, ArcGIS PRO, ArcGIS Online, Enterprise) and extensions;
- Proficient in GIS analyses, conversions, programming in ArcMap or FME, ArcGIS Online and other specific tools;
- Prior experience in projects like 2D Mapping, Cartography, Utility Conversion, Parcel Mapping, Conversion from CAD to GIS. Create GIS Maps, Reports, and presentations in support of various GIS and technology projects.
- Experience in automating geoprocessing workflows using Model builder, Python scripting in ArcGIS Pro. Experience in web apps - ArcGIS Experience builder, Story Maps, Dashboards, Survey123.
- In-depth understanding and practical experience associated with the concepts of data management and relational database systems.
- Ability to work for extended hours as needed to complete project deliverables.
- Managing and collaborating client relationships
- Be a role model for effective delegation and contribute to upskilling teams.
- Performing independent reviews of complex projects Focus on accuracy and details.
- Focus on technical excellence and quality.
- Analyze and resolve system issues in a timely manner.
- Ability to understand technology trends/concepts and solve problems through a proactive and innovative approach.

- Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access)
- Knowledge of programming languages like VBA, Python, FME is a plus.
- Own the execution & delivery of all projects, in terms of cost, schedule, delivery & customer satisfaction.
- Interface with customers to understand project requirements and challenges and accordingly create devise winning execution / delivery strategies for success of the project.
- Possess strong written & oral communications, both business and technical.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Geography/Geology/GIS/Engineering or related degree with an emphasis in GIS (or GIS Certificate/Diploma)
- At least 15-18 years of experience working in an ArcGIS environment related to GIS Mapping (Topological Correction, Data Join), Spatial Analysis, Geo-referencing, Layout View.
- Use of various GIS software (ESRI ArcGIS and Extensions, ArcGIS PRO, AGO, Enterprise), as well as various geographic data formats and standard data conversion and transformation methods.
- Prior experience in projects like 2D Mapping, Cartography, Utility Conversion, Parcel Mapping, Conversion from CAD to GIS. Create GIS Maps, Reports and presentations in support of various GIS and technology projects.
