Pre Sales IT Infrastructure Consultant

About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Pre-Sales IT Infrastructure Consultant to drive solution design, client engagement, and technical strategy for enterprise customers. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in data center technologies, virtualization, storage, backup, and security solutions, along with excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills.

Key Responsibilities

·       Engage with clients to understand business and technical requirements and propose optimized IT infrastructure solutions

·       Design and architect solutions across servers, storage, virtualization, backup, and security domains

·       Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and solution documents (SOW, BOM, RFP responses)

·       Work closely with sales teams to support pre-sales activities, POCs, and client demos

·       Collaborate with OEMs (Dell, HPE, NetApp, VMware, etc.) for solution alignment and pricing

·       Lead technical discussions, solution workshops, and client meetings

·       Ensure smooth transition of projects from pre-sales to delivery teams

·       Provide technical guidance and mentorship to internal teams

·       Stay updated with latest technologies and industry trends.

Key Skills & Competencies

Technical Expertise

·       Strong knowledge of IT Infrastructure & Data Center Technologies

·       Virtualization: VMware, Hyper-V

·       Storage: NetApp, EMC, IBM

·       Backup: Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup

·       OS: Windows Server, Linux

·       Understanding of networking basics, security, and endpoint management

·       Experience in cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) is an added advantage

Pre-Sales & Business Skills

·       Strong experience in solutioning, RFP/RFI responses, and proposal creation

·       Ability to create SOW, BOM, and cost estimations

·       Excellent presentation, communication, and client-facing skills

·       Experience in stakeholder management and OEM coordination

Leadership & Other Skills

·       Ability to work with cross-functional teams

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

·       Experience in handling enterprise or large-scale clients

Preferred Qualifications

·       Bachelor's degree in Engineering / IT (Diploma acceptable with strong experience)

·       Certifications like:

·       VMware / Microsoft / AWS / Azure

·       Storage (NetApp, Dell EMC)

·       Backup (Veeam, Commvault)
