Industry Preference: Surgical Ophthalmology / Pharma Ophthalmology

Role Objective:

  • The Manager / Senior Manager – Practice Development will support the implementation of practice development initiatives with partner hospitals and key accounts. The role will focus on executing patient engagement programs, supporting surgeon training initiatives, implementing co-marketing activities and improving consultation-to-surgery conversion for Phakic lenses. The position will work closely with the AGM to drive operational excellence in practice development programs and ensure successful adoption of best practices across partners.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Patient Engagement & Conversion: Collaborate with hospitals to enhance the patient experience, increasing awareness and conversion rates from consultation to surgery for Phakic lenses.
  • Practice Development: Develop practice resources to optimize Phakic procedures in clinics, train surgeons, staff and certify professionals for Phakic implantation.
  • Co-Marketing Initiatives: Build alliances and co-marketing campaigns with hospitals, increasing brand visibility and patient volume through direct-to-consumer campaigns.
  • Training & Education: Lead the creation of training programs for surgeons, optometrists and marketing staff, ensuring alignment with the hospital's practice development goals.
  • Content Development: Create patient education materials, including videos, brochures and digital tools to support consultation processes and improve patient engagement.
  • Global Team Collaboration: Work closely with AGM - practice development to standardize best practices and achieve business growth.
  • Data Analysis & Improvement: Track and analyse conversion rates and business metrics, recommending process improvements to optimize performance.
  • Events & Meetings: Plan and execute events such as Staff Meetings, Refractive RTMs, CMEs and wet labs to drive professional engagement and improve practice operations.

Functional Skills Required:

  • Understanding of the surgical ophthalmology market, particularly refractive surgery and Phakic lenses.
  • Ability to implement practice development and patient engagement programs.
  • Experience in hospital collaboration and healthcare marketing.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Ability to coordinate training programs and educational initiatives.

Team Size to be Handled:

  • Individual Contributor role, reporting to AGM – Practice Development (Key Accounts). Will work closely with sales team, marketing team, marcom team, brand manager and hospital partners.
