Power BI Developer – Job Description (Manager Role)
Location: Mumbai | DHL Global Forwarding (DGFF) – Global Service Center (GSC)
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Power BI Developer to join our data analytics team at DGFF GSC. In this role, you will independently drive end-to-end dashboard development, optimization, and support, enabling data-driven decision-making across global business functions.
You will collaborate with stakeholders, translate business needs into scalable BI solutions, and ensure timely delivery aligned with quality, cost, and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports based on business requirements
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into technical solutions
- Develop and optimize data models, ETL processes, and transformations using Power Query, DAX, and SQL
- Ensure data accuracy, performance, and scalability of reporting solutions
- Identify trends, insights, and opportunities through data analysis and visualization
- Troubleshoot and enhance existing dashboards for performance optimization and usability improvements
- Create and maintain technical documentation (Design, Test Cases, Deployment, User Guides)
- Provide user support, training, and best practice guidance for Power BI adoption
- Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives and integrate Power BI with enterprise data platforms
- Ensure adherence to AGILE methodologies, governance standards, and best practices
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development (preferred for stronger candidates)
- Strong expertise in:
- Power BI (Desktop & Service)
- DAX, Power Query (M Language)
- SQL & data modeling
- Solid understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
- Experience handling large datasets and performance optimization
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to convert business problems into BI solutions
- Knowledge of data visualization principles and storytelling
- Experience working in Agile or similar project methodologies
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certification: Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) or equivalent
- Exposure to logistics/freight forwarding domain (DGF operations lifecycle preferred)
- Understanding of data integration with other platforms/tools (e.g., Azure, APIs)
