Job Description

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain PostgreSQL databases to meet application and business requirements.
Collaborate with software developers to understand data needs and design appropriate database structures and schemas.
Write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and database functions to support data manipulation and retrieval.
Optimize database performance by fine-tuning SQL queries, creating indexes, and implementing other performance-enhancing techniques.
Monitor database performance, identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, and optimize system resources.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, such as data corruption, connectivity problems, and performance degradation.
Collaborate with the development team to implement database-related features and enhancements.
Document database design, schemas, and procedures for reference and knowledge sharing.
Exposure to Setting-up CI-CD pipeline would be a plus.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven work experience as a Database Programmer, Database Developer, or similar role.
Strong proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.
Solid understanding of relational database concepts and principles.
Experience in database design, schema modeling, and optimization.
Familiarity with database administration tasks, such as user management, backup and recovery, and performance tuning.
Ability to write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
Familiarity with software development methodologies and programming languages is a plus.
