Job Summary:

The Planning Manager oversees the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of real estate development projects. This role ensures that all projects are strategically aligned with the organization's goals, delivered on time, within budget, and compliant with regulatory standards. The position involves coordination between design, engineering, construction, finance, and external agencies to ensure smooth project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Scheduling

Develop and manage detailed project schedules using tools like MS Project or Primavera (P6).

Identify key project milestones, critical paths, and dependencies.

Monitor progress and update timelines to ensure timely completion.

2. Budgeting & Cost Control

Coordinate with finance and procurement teams to prepare project budgets.

Track project costs and forecast financial performance.

Recommend corrective measures for cost or schedule deviations.

3. Feasibility & Pre-Development

Conduct feasibility studies including zoning analysis, land use planning, and market assessments.

Coordinate with architects, urban planners, and consultants to prepare master plans.

Support in obtaining necessary approvals and permits from authorities.

4. Coordination & Stakeholder Management

Liaise with internal departments (design, construction, sales, legal, finance).

Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and government agencies.

Facilitate regular project review meetings and progress reports for senior management.

5. Risk Management

Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and environmental regulations.

6. Reporting & Documentation

Maintain detailed records of planning processes, project reports, and performance indicators.

Present project updates, forecasts, and dashboards to management.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Architecture, or a related field (Master's preferred).

712 years of experience in real estate planning, project management, or development.

Proficiency in project management tools (Primavera, MS Project, AutoCAD, Excel).

Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

Thorough understanding of local real estate regulations, zoning laws, and approval processes.
