PGT English Teacher

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English language lessons to students of Classes XI and XII in accordance with the CBSE curriculum.
• Develop and update teaching materials, lesson plans, and assessment tools to foster critical thinking, comprehension, and communication skills.
• Assess student performance through formative and summative evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate academic records.
• Mentor and guide students in preparation for board examinations, competitive exams, and higher‑education admissions.
• Participate actively in departmental meetings, curriculum reviews, and school‑wide initiatives aimed at enhancing academic quality.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, counselors, and support staff to create a holistic learning environment.
• Uphold the school's ethos of inclusivity, compassion, and academic excellence while adhering to all institutional policies and procedures.

Essential Qualifications

• Post‑Graduate Diploma in Teaching (PGDT) or Bachelor's/Master's degree in English (or related field) from a recognized university.
• Eligibility for CBSE PGT teaching positions (as per the latest CBSE guidelines).
• Clearable background check and verification as required by the Adani Foundation.

Desired Experience

• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level (Classes XI–XII) in a CBSE‑affiliated school.
• Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes in English language proficiency and board examination results.
• Experience with student counseling, mentorship, or extracurricular activities related to language and literature is a plus.
• Familiarity with digital learning tools and online assessment platforms.
