Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute performance testing efforts across pre-production and production environments.
Identify performance bottlenecks, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and provide actionable tuning recommendations.
Automate and enhance performance testing, monitoring, and reporting using tools such as Jenkins, Git, JMeter, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
Work with microservices-based applications deployed on cloud platforms such as AWS (IaaS).
Utilize tools like HP LoadRunner, JMeter, or similar platforms (e.g., SOASTA CloudTest) for load and stress testing.
Perform performance testing on batch jobs and messaging queues (Kafka, TIBCO).
Use APM tools (CA Wily, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, etc.) for diagnostics, profiling, and bottleneck identification.
Analyze application logs using Splunk, ELK, and other monitoring tools.
Execute performance tests via DevOps pipelines (Jenkins) and version control workflows (Git).
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track and visualize performance metrics.
Define and recommend non-functional requirements (NFRs) based on product specifications and system behavior.
Analyze test outcomes, derive insights, and collaborate closely with development and project teams to resolve performance issues.
Communicate findings and escalate issues effectively to technical leads, managers, and executives.

Required Qualifications

8-10 years of hands-on experience in performance testing, monitoring, and analysis.
Proven background in high-volume, transaction-oriented applications; retail e-commerce experience strongly preferred.
Proficiency with LoadRunner, JMeter, or equivalent performance testing tools.
Experience with cloud-based microservice architectures (AWS IaaS preferred).
Familiarity with APM tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or CA Wily.
Experience analyzing logs and metrics using Splunk, ELK, etc.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and version control systems (Git).
Working knowledge of Jenkins for automated performance tests within DevOps pipelines.
Basic programming/scripting experience in Java, Python, and UNIX shell scripting.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate test results into clear recommendations.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
