Job Description
We seek a skilled Performance QA Engineer to spearhead performance optimization for our digital applications. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in performance testing and a strong proficiency in tools such as JMeter, BlazeMeter, New Relic, Dynatrace, and the latest performance monitoring tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the performance testing strategy and execution for digital applications, ensuring optimal performance under varying loads.
- Design and implement comprehensive performance test plans, scenarios, and scripts using JMeter and BlazeMeter.
- Utilize monitoring tools such as New Relic and Dynatrace to identify performance bottlenecks and provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define performance criteria and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Analyze performance data and generate detailed reports, presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Mentor and train junior QA team members on performance testing best practices and tools.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for performance testing processes and methodologies.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in performance optimization.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in performance testing and quality assurance.
- Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter, BlazeMeter, New Relic, Dynatrace, and familiarity with other emerging tools.
- Strong understanding of web applications, protocols (HTTP/HTTPS), and network performance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Java, Python) is a plus.
Preferred Skills
Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
