Job Description

We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Developer to support the implementation of a Workforce Planning system. This solution will enable HR and Job Architecture teams to maintain Position Management data within PeopleSoft for better supportability, data integrity, security, and scalability. The selected candidate will play a key role in the design, development, testing, and deployment of PeopleSoft enhancements and integrations.

Scope of Work

  • Develop, test, and deliver processes to pull staff demographic data (grade, title, department) and Position data from PeopleSoft.
  • Design and implement processes to send data to the Integrated Data Repository (IDR).
  • Build processes to load historical data from SQL Server into PeopleSoft.
  • Translate functional specifications into high-quality technical specifications.
  • Enable and configure PeopleSoft Workflow in selected areas.
  • Develop complete, well-tested programs that align with user requirements and project specifications.
  • Prepare technical documentation (ER diagrams, flow diagrams, user manuals, test plans).
  • Conduct code reviews, peer reviews, and testing to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Provide weekly status updates and proactively communicate risks or blockers.
  • Collaborate with project managers, technical leads, DBAs, system administrators, and business users.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Master's degree (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years of PeopleSoft development experience (preferably on PeopleSoft 9.2).
  • Strong expertise in:
    • PeopleTools, Application Designer, PeopleCode, SQR
    • SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle platform
    • PeopleSoft Workflow and Fluid/Mobile technologies
  • Experience with SQR programming for complex reporting and batch processes.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft HR table infrastructure and rule-based systems.
  • Proven experience in full SDLC: analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and support.
  • Strong understanding of source code control, issue tracking, and documentation standards.
  • Ability to write optimized SQL queries, Oracle Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, and Triggers.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues and provide quick, reliable fixes.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and judgment skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a multicultural, collaborative team environment.
