We are looking for PCB Design Engineer to join our team at our customer's location in Solihull, UK with a required five-day presence in the office.

Responsibilities:

  • Create PCB layouts, define stack-ups, and establish design rulesets for Analog, Digital, and Power Electronics PCBs, with a preference for aerospace applications.
  • Perform pre-layout and post-layout Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) analyses to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with PCB manufacturers to address design requirements and ensure manufacturability.
  • Oversee the generation and release of manufacturing data for PCBs and PCBAs.
  • Maintain and manage the hardware library for PCB design tools to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of schematics, layouts, and associated documentation to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Develop and implement processes, guidelines, and templates for PCB/PCBA-level design and manufacturing.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Communication Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Extensive experience in PCB design and development, with a strong understanding of IPC standards.
  • Expertise in designing PCBs for digital, analog, and power electronics applications.
  • Proficiency in pre-layout and post-layout SI/PI analysis, as well as thermal analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with PCB design and verification tools, such as:
  • Cadence Allegro (preferred)
  • Altium Designer
  • Siemens Xpedition/PADS
  • Siemens HyperLynx
  • Ansys SIwave
  • Strong leadership abilities and the capability to make independent decisions.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
