Job Title: Payroll Supervisor

Job Purpose
The Global Payroll Supervisor is responsible for managing end-to-end payroll operations across multiple countries, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing. The role oversees payroll governance, statutory compliance, payroll audits, reporting, employee settlements, accruals, payroll vendor coordination, and employee support across Africa and the Middle East. The position also focuses on payroll process improvements, internal controls, data accuracy, and collaboration with HR and Finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Management
- Manage monthly payroll processing for multiple international locations.
- Review payroll inputs including new hires, salary revisions, overtime, allowances, deductions, and benefits.
- Ensure payroll accuracy and timely processing.
- Validate payroll reports, salary registers, and bank transfer files.
- Coordinate payroll activities with HR, Finance, and country offices.
Multi-Country Payroll
- Handle payroll operations for UAE, Kuwait, and India.
- Coordinate with local HR teams and payroll vendors.
- Maintain payroll calendars and statutory deadlines.
- Support payroll implementation and process standardization.
Employee Benefits & Settlements
- Process leave salary, leave encashment, final settlements, gratuity, indemnity, and end-of-service benefits.
- Verify employee separation calculations.
- Monitor leave balances and payroll impact.
Payroll Compliance
- Ensure statutory and company policy compliance.
- Perform payroll reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Support internal and external payroll audits.
- Maintain payroll documentation and employee records.
Reporting
- Prepare payroll summaries and headcount reports.
- Generate accrual reports for leave, gratuity, indemnity, and airfare liabilities.
- Provide payroll cost and workforce analytics.
- Support Finance during monthly and annual closing activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in HR, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA in HR or Finance preferred.
- 5–8 years of payroll experience.
- Minimum 2–3 years in a supervisory/lead payroll role.
- Experience managing multi-country payroll, preferably across the Middle East, Africa, and India.
- Experience working with payroll vendors and outsourced payroll providers.
